Deep Tissue  ~ To meet your needs

I offer two styles, or levels, of Deep Tissue Massage:  The first being reasonably deep, yet satisfying;  approaching

the level of "it hurts so good," and you are left feeling as though your trouble spots have been addressed.

The second I describe as "Wicked Deep!"  This is generally done as a full body massage; it is very intense and extremely effective in breaking down the deeper levels of muscle tissue and fascia.  If you are at all familiar with the Rolfing method of massage, this will give you insight as to the intensity of the treatment.   Wicked Deep is for people who LOVE deep tissue and wish to heal chronic body pain!!

I highly recommend a massage with Diane Lane.  She listens to me and knows what I am looking for, whether it is an hour of relaxation or an intense session of stretching and deep tissue work.  She is professional and an expert at what she does.

In your massage, you can expect me to use several different modalities during each treatment. I incorporate relaxation techniques first and foremost, deep tissue in your "trouble spots," shiatsu stretch to release your shoulders, hips, legs, and lower back, and myofascial release in order for deep tissue techniques to be more effective. Using these techniques together leaves you feeling completely relaxed and every bit of your body has been fully addressed.  At the end of your massage I perform a Sea Salt Scrub on your back, which feels amazing and is a nice little treat.  As well, I wipe your hands and feet clean of massage cream with steamed towels.  This, too, leaves you feeling wonderful and complete.

Cranial Sacral

Cranio-sacral massage is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the cranio-sacra system.  Cranio-sacral Massage therapy deals with the bones of the head, spinal column, sacrum and the underlying structures.  This type of massage employs a very light touch and uses specifically designed techniques to release restrictions and compression in these areas.

Sports Massage

Designed with the athlete in mind: incorporating deep tissue and shiatsu stretch, and myofascial release techniques to release tight and over-worked muscles.

Medical Massage

Focusing on injuries of the extremities: shoulders, elbow, wrist, hips, knees, and ankles.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage is the natural function of the lymphatic system, which is an essential part of immunity. If this function isn't working properly, it can cause a build-up of fluid in tissues as well as more serious medical problems like Lymphagitis and Lymphoma. Though most of the conditions caused by poor lymphatic drainage are treatable, some require prompt hospitalization and immediate medical care, since they can easily spread throughout the body.

Kriya Massage

Kriya massage is defined as "a dance, integrating, or reconnecting, the body."  Essential oils are used to

perform the massage.  Other modalities are not incorporated during this treatment, as the importance here is

keeping my hands on your body the entire time, and generating a "flow" in order to keep the connection

and energy moving.  There is nothing like the experience of a Kriya Massage.  Although you may have never

heard of Kriya Massage, nor has anybody else you will walk away feeling nothing short of amazing.

Amazing in such a way which is best described as equally relaxed and rejuvinated at the same time.

Myofascial Release

To understand what Myofascial Release is and why it works, it is helpful to understand a little about fascia.  Fascia is a thin tissue that covers all the organs of the body.  This tissue covers every muscle and every fiber within each muscle.  All muscle stretching is, then, is actually stretching of the fascia and the muscle, the myofascial unit.  When muscle fibers are injured, the fiber and the fascia which surrounds it become short and tight.  This uneven stress can be transmitted through the fascia to other parts of the body, causing pain and a variety of other symptoms.  Myofascial Release treats these symptoms by releasing the uneven tightness in injured fascia.

Swe-Thai Massage Therapy is a unique style of massage that successfully and delightfully blends the relaxing strokes of the Swedish massage with the wonderful stretching techniques of traditional Thai Massage.  This may be the ultimate combination therapy for relaxation!
